Its been over a year since I last wrote a journal. Wow, ok. Well, I'm doing quite well. Excited because Legend of Korra book 2 premier Friday. I have a bit of a shoulder injury, but whatever, it'll heal.
I figured I might as well explain the whole story that my friend and I are developing since a lot of my next few submissions will be related to it.
The whole story takes place in a forest... a very diverse forest. Heres a little map.
(<--Greatest map ever)
The main character of our story is Poppy, a young headstrong girl from the Flowerbeds, who has recently moved to the biggest kingdom in the Forest; the Redwoods.
The Redwood Kingdom and the Oak Kingdom are huge rivals and there is bound to be conflict between them.
Moving on.
Poppy somehow befriends the prince of the Redwoods, Leif.
Leif is very socially awkward and has lived a very sheltered life at the top of the biggest Redwood Tree. He's never left the top tier, which is the palace.
Brief summary of each section of the Forest.
The Boulder: Situated between a fork in the brook, the Boulder is an industrial community in which most of the other kingdoms get their fancy products and such. They have easy shipping along the Brook.
The Waterlilies: A small kingdom underwater. The waterlily people are really smart and at the forefront of all research and tend to stay out of any conflict between their fellow kingdoms. The Princess is Taide, another main character who is the cousin to Leif and who is in love with Em.
The Willow is a reclusive community that hardly associates with any other place.
The Weeds is a territory that the Willow and the Oak try to maintain. It is full of nomadic tribes and clans, such as the Thorn Clan (Where Em is from) They have a habit of terrorizing everyone.
Then theres the Flowerbeds, which is on the outer rim of the forest. This isn't a kingdom, and most of the other kingdoms view the flowerbed people as somewhat inferior.
And then all throughout the forest are different villages that are allied with different kingdoms.
so now we have the whole geography and backstory of this place somewhat settled. My friend and I are writing and illustrating a series of short stories that revolve around Poppy and Leif and their adventures throughout the Forest. So yeah..
Its a tad bit confusing because we are still developing the world and the different characters.
So if anyone has any suggestions about possible stories, adventures, characters, etc. Just let me know
I'd appreciate any suggestions.
